About FAGOFARMA
FAGOFARMA s.r.o. develops, researches and manufactures biotechnological preparations based on bacteriophages, with the aim of bringing phage-based antibacterial treatment into clinical practice. Its product range includes the FAGOCARE and FAGOCARE PLUS gels for acne-prone skin, which contain bacteriophages and endolysins, and Nuclease FF, a recombinant endonuclease from Serratia marcescens.
The company also offers contract research and manufacturing services in microbiology, biotechnology and pharmacy. Its clients and partners include other public and private research organisations in immunobiology, and it works with academic university departments. In 2023 it received certification from the State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL) to produce bacteriophages as active substances and investigational medicinal products.
