EWE Go GmbH operates public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and sells a charging tariff. Drivers start charging through the EWE Go app or a free optional charge card, and manage charging sessions and invoices in a customer portal. All EWE Go charging points run on 100% electricity from renewable sources, certified by TÜV NORD.
Customers are electric car drivers, who pay per kWh with no monthly base fee. The listed prices are 0.52 €/kWh at EWE Go charging stations and 0.62 €/kWh at partner stations, where a blocking fee applies after 4 hours of standing time. The company also offers a site partner programme for businesses that host charging points.
EWE Go began as a competence centre within the EWE group and is a subsidiary of EWE AG. It has operated as an independent company under the EWE Go name and has been the market-leading charging infrastructure operator in north-west Germany since 2017. Its headquarters are in Oldenburg, with an additional office in Berlin. The company lists access to more than 3,000 own charging points and 100,000 partner charging points in Germany, plus roaming access across Europe.
