About EVPÚ

EVPÚ a.s. (Elektrotechnický výskumný a projektový ústav) develops, manufactures and tests electrotechnical solutions for transport, energy, defence and testing. Its work covers research and development, production of magnetic circuits, surface-mount printed circuit board assembly, control and power electronics, final assembly and testing of finished products. Series production is carried out mainly by its subsidiaries.

Customers are organisations in transport, energy, defence and testing, and the company states that its technologies are used by partners in more than 50 countries. Revenue comes from supplying developed systems and equipment and from testing and certification services. Its accredited testing and calibration laboratories operate within EVPÚ as the Slovak Testing Centre – Electrotechnical (SKTC-E), which provides testing of electrotechnical products and holds notified and designated body roles for construction products, motor vehicle components and security technical equipment.

The company was founded in 1992 and is based in Nová Dubnica, Slovakia, where it has been developing and producing electrotechnical equipment for more than 55 years. It describes itself as an official NATO supplier and holds ISO, AQAP and IRIS quality standards. Recent news items include a strategic cooperation agreement with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.
