About Evondos
Evondos provides automated medication dispensing (AMD) devices, connected software and support. The dispenser is a locked cabinet that releases medication at the scheduled time and dose, guides the user with lights, sound and voice prompts, and returns missed doses while alerting the care team or next of kin. A built-in two-way camera lets care staff observe doses being taken, and every action is logged.
Customers include care providers, health regions, municipalities, family carers, pharmacies and physicians, and people at home. The company sells its medication dispensing service to care organisations and individuals, and its products are CE-marked. Evondos acquired Compaan in 2026 to strengthen its digital homecare offering in the Netherlands.
Evondos was founded by Mika Apell, who originally conceived the business idea. The company is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, has an office in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, and operates across eight European markets. It states that it supports more than 50,000 people and over 700 municipalities, regions and care organisations, and has enabled more than 120 million medicine doses to be delivered. It is part of Verdane. Open roles include sales, partnership, product, engineering and implementation positions, mostly based in Zoetermeer.
