About Eranova
ERANOVA develops biosourced biomaterials and resins from macroalgae, either collected from the coastline or cultivated in basins. Its partially bio-based resins and compounds are designed to replace fully petroleum-based matrices. The process runs from algae harvesting, sorting and preparation through bleaching and deodorisation to algae powder, then compounding and extrusion into resin granules. Two patents cover starch enrichment of ulva and its bleaching and deodorisation.
Customers are industrial manufacturers in construction, automotive, capital goods and packaging. The company develops resins to its clients' product specifications and supports projects from feasibility studies through pre-industrialisation.
ERANOVA was founded in 2016 and is based in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, France. It is preparing to move to industrial scale with a planned algae farm of large basins, intended to create a local productive activity and secure algal biomass supply.
