About English Provender Company
English Provender Company develops and manufactures chutneys, mayonnaise, salad dressings, cooking sauces and related products. It blends over 500 ingredients into ambient and chilled products, draws on more than 700 recipes, and offers packaging from glass jars and bottles to plastic buckets, pouches, sachets and dip pots.
Customers are UK retailers, quick service restaurants and food manufacturers, for whom the company creates tailor-made flavours, recipes and packaging formats to brief. It sells manufactured food products to these trade customers.
The company was founded in 1991 and joined the Billington Group in 1997; it is headquartered in Liverpool. It operates two manufacturing sites, in Newbury and Newport, where the Newbury footprint is being expanded and packaging capabilities in Newport are being extended. Its facilities are BRC AA rated. Current vacancies include machine and production operatives, a senior buyer and waste operatives.
