About Energynest
ENERGYNEST develops power-to-heat systems and its ThermalBattery™ thermal energy storage. The systems combine electric heaters, storage and control systems to convert electricity into heat when it is cheaper than gas, and existing boilers can remain in place as backup.
Customers are energy-intensive industrial companies that need process heat or steam from about 120 °C up to above 300 °C, with sectors named as pulp and paper, food and beverage, and chemicals. Projects include work with Yara, tesa SE and LEONHARD KURZ. Systems are delivered as Heat-as-a-Service with zero upfront investment or as turnkey EPC projects, together with a network of European industrial partners.
ENERGYNEST was founded in 2011 by Professor Pål Bergan and Øivind Resch. It is headquartered in Billingstad near Oslo and has teams in Hamburg, Seville, Rotterdam and Madrid. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and cites €110m of infrastructure investment by Infracapital (M&G Group). Its open positions are in Hamburg, including a site manager and an electrical engineer.
Product: Modular ThermalBattery™ thermal energy storage combined with electric heaters and control systems, delivered as Heat-as-a-Service or turnkey EPC.
