About ELLA-CS

ELLA-CS makes medical devices, mainly stents for the gastrointestinal tract, including the BD BILIARY biodegradable esophageal stent. Its product range also has a pneumology category. Services for OEM projects and contract manufacturing include nitinol and stainless steel processing, silicone coating, assembly of delivery systems, cleaning and packaging, and ethylene oxide sterilization.

Customers are physicians and medical device developers who commission prototypes, design modifications and serial production. The company sells its own devices and manufacturing services. More than 90% of its production is exported to over 70 countries.

ELLA-CS, s.r.o. was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. It was founded by Assoc. Prof. Karel Volenec, PhD., and holds Czech and international patents. Production follows EN ISO 13485 and is carried out in clean rooms classified to EN ISO 14644 Class 8. The company received the Innovative Company of the Year 2025 award in the Hradec Králové Region.
