About ELAFLEX HIBY
ELAFLEX HIBY develops and manufactures hoses, fittings, couplings, rubber compensators and fuel dispensing nozzles for transferring fuels, gases, chemicals and other liquid media. The range includes aircraft refuelling hoses, tank truck and tank wagon hoses, safety breakaway couplings, pharmaceutical hose lines and CNG and LNG systems. Most of the product range consists of proprietary designs.
Applications include filling station equipment, aircraft refuelling, chemical and pharmaceutical transfer, tank wagon loading, marine bunkering and alternative fuels such as hydrogen, LPG, CNG and LNG. The company sells these products to industrial and fuel-handling customers, and offers online configurators for hoses, nozzles, compensators and dry-break couplings to support product selection and quotation requests.
The group traces its origins to 1923, when Karl M.C. Ehlers founded ELAFLEX as a technical trader for shipyard supplies, and to 1913, when Albert Hiby founded HIBY in Plettenberg. The two businesses were combined in 2020 into ELAFLEX HIBY GmbH & Co. KG. It is a family-owned company in its third generation. Its locations are in Hamburg and Plettenberg, and it currently recruits for technical sales, test engineering, production, and dual study and apprenticeship places.
Product: Industrial hoses, fittings, couplings, rubber compensators and fuel dispensing nozzles for fuelling and transfer of liquid and gaseous media.
