About EKO-KOM
EKO-KOM, a.s. runs the authorised packaging company system in the Czech Republic that organises the collection, sorting and recycling of packaging waste. It was founded in 1997 by manufacturers of packaged goods and operates as a non-profit joint-stock company.
Its customers are producers and importers of packaged goods (clients under the system), and it works with municipalities, waste collection companies, sorting and processing operators. It is financed through fees paid by its clients under the packaging waste take-back obligation.
The registered seat is in Prague, and the company runs an office in Prague 4 – Pankrác. Its shareholders include Coca-Cola HBC Česko a Slovensko, Tetra Pak Česká republika, Unilever ČR and other packaging and food producers. It is currently recruiting a Cyber Security Specialist for its IT team.
