About ecosistant
ecosistant provides EPR (extended producer responsibility) compliance services for packaging, WEEE, batteries, textiles, furniture and other waste streams. Registration, quantity reporting and compliance monitoring are offered either as a fully managed Premium Service or as a self-service option with step-by-step guidance. It also offers PPWR compliance, recycling labelling and authorised representation for the German market.
Customers are online retailers, fashion brands, electronics sellers, marketplace sellers and marketplaces. The company states that more than 5,000 customers use its services. Clients pay for the compliance services, and recycling fees in target countries are passed on to them 1:1.
ecosistant was set up in 2020 by Andreas Landes and Johannes Kohlmann, who had worked in e-commerce. The team is based in Berlin, working from the betahaus coworking space in Kreuzberg, with some members working remotely from other cities. The service covers 30 European countries, including Switzerland, Norway and the UK. The company is currently hiring a Senior Solution Architect / Lead Automation Engineer, a part-time 32-hour role with remote work possible.
