About Easyaccessibility
easyAccessibility, formerly ADi Access, develops and manufactures the RoomMate®, a device that gives blind and visually impaired users an audio description of an accessible toilet, a virtual map of the room. The aim is to let them use public accessible toilets without having to feel their way around or be escorted.
Customers are public venues that install RoomMate units in their accessible toilets. The company's website names railway stations and visitor attractions such as the Eden Project among the sites where the device is installed.
The business was formed in Cornwall in October 2014 and joined the easyGroup family of brands in January 2020. Its registered office is in London. Its director Steve Holyer won the Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in 2019. The current product generation, RoomMate® V8, adds a spoken hand-washing prompt.
Product: RoomMate®, an audio description device installed in accessible toilets that gives a spoken description of the room layout to visually impaired users.
