Droppie

Droppie operates recycling shops where people bring in recyclable items such as deposit bottles and cans, e-waste, textiles, plastic packaging and cooking oil. Users download the Droppie app, drop items at a store and receive a reward in the app or choose to donate it. The website says the shops also handle parcel services and bottle and can deposits.

The customers are consumers who bring their recyclables to the stores. Droppie states that it sorts materials as cleanly as possible and delivers those streams to recycling partners, who are described as its clients. The website does not give a detailed breakdown of revenue sources.

The website lists stores in Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam and Almere, and customer reviews mention a location in Utrecht. Job postings include store staff roles and a Full Stack Software Developer role in Amsterdam. The website does not state a founding year or headcount.
