About Dnae Group Holdings
DNAe develops the LiDia-SEQ platform, a direct-from-specimen diagnostic system that performs DNA sequencing on a microchip for rapid, near-patient clinical results. The initial application focus is infectious disease diagnostics, including a bloodstream infection and antimicrobial resistance (BSI/AMR) test run on whole blood specimens. The company's products are labelled for research use only and are not yet for use in diagnostic procedures.
The company is developing its platform for hospital and point-of-need clinical settings, with targeted tests ranging from infectious diseases to cancer monitoring. Development is partly funded under a US Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) contract awarded in September 2016, reported as worth up to $51.9M. The company was founded in 2003 by Professor Christofer Toumazou as a spin-out from Imperial College London, and is headquartered in London, with operations in Washington, DC and a clinical diagnostic development site in San Diego, CA.
The company lists current vacancies in the United Kingdom and the United States. Its senior team includes CEO Sam Reed.
