About dass-it.de
Bareos GmbH & Co. KG develops Bareos, an open-source backup software, and offers support, consulting, development and training around it. Subscriptions provide maintained binaries, tested repositories and subscription-only plugins for platforms such as Proxmox and Hyper-V.
Customers are organisations that run Bareos in their IT infrastructure, from small IT teams to large, heterogeneous environments in research, industry, the public sector and IT services. Revenue comes from annual subscriptions, tiered support plans, consulting, training and sponsored development.
The company has been integrated with dass IT GmbH since 2024, which brought open-source consulting in areas such as Open-Xchange, Proxmox, Univention and Nextcloud into the business. It is owner-managed, works mostly remotely with one office day per week in Cologne, and lists open positions for technical support, C++/Linux and frontend development, and sales.
Product: Bareos open-source backup software with paid subscriptions, support tiers, consulting, training and sponsored development.
