About Dalau

Dalau Ltd extrudes fluoropolymer (PTFE) rod and produces moulded rod, skived film and sheet under its dalcon™ trademark. It also precision machines components from engineering plastics, including micro components and wafer carriers for washing and conveying semiconductor wafers. The company holds AS 9100:2018 Rev D and BS EN ISO 9001:2015 approvals.

Its customers are manufacturers in the aerospace, defence, medical, electronic, semiconductor, chemical and engineering sectors. Dalau sells semi-finished materials and machined components to these industrial buyers and exports about 75% of its output to 35 countries.

The company was founded in 1958 and describes itself as a family business. It operates from three sites in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, with sales offices in Europe and the USA, and employs around 120 staff. Current recruitment includes a Metrology Engineer role and apprenticeships in engineering machining and manufacturing support.
