About Cutting Room

CuttingRoom develops a cloud-based video editor that runs in the browser without installation. Its built-in ShortCut AI assistant turns plain-language requests into edits, such as rough cuts, audio polishing, captions and social clips. Footage can be captured from live streams, an iPhone app and connected cloud sources, and published to media platforms.

Customers include broadcasters, sports streaming platforms, music companies and other media organisations. The editor can be tried with a free trial that requires no credit card.

The company was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Bergen, Norway. Its co-CEOs are Helge Høibråten and Glenn S. Pedersen, and it is backed by Norwegian venture capitalists. CuttingRoom won the Cloud & Remote Workflow Innovation of the Year 2026 award and the Bergen Municipality's Entrepreneur Award 2026.

Product: Browser-based cloud video editor with the ShortCut AI assistant, an iPhone capture app and an MCP server for AI assistants.
