About CutoSense
CutoSense Oy develops wound assessment and treatment systems. Its first product, WoundWatch®, is intended for monitoring venous ulcers and provides measurement data to help evaluate healing progress. The system consists of a sterile eDressing with electrodes placed on the wound, a measurement unit that runs a bioimpedance scan in about 30 seconds and sends data wirelessly via Bluetooth, and a mobile application that analyses and visualises the results.
The company works with universities, healthcare institutions and wound care specialists, and its stated customers are healthcare providers. WoundWatch® is a prototype that is not CE-marked; it is in the final phase of development and is planned to be commercially available, and it will be a Class IIb medical device after CE certification. CutoSense's quality management system is certified to ISO 13485 by SGS Fimko Oy.
CutoSense Oy was founded in 2016 following scientific research and is headquartered in Littoinen, Finland. Its board includes academic and medical members, and its advisors include researchers from Tampere University and wound care clinicians.
