About Credit Benchmark

Credit Benchmark aggregates and anonymises the internal credit risk estimates of more than 40 global financial institutions and publishes them as consensus ratings, probability of default data and analytics. Its offerings include a Credit Risk Dataset, the Credit Risk Index, analytics for portfolio monitoring and benchmarking, and platform delivery through APIs, a web app and an Excel Add-In.

Customers are banks, asset managers, insurers and financial market infrastructure participants such as clearing houses and exchanges, who use the data for model validation, counterparty and portfolio monitoring, and coverage of unrated names. The company's own materials state that its consensus spans over 125,000 obligors in 160 countries.

Credit Benchmark was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in London. Its leadership includes CEO Michael Crumpler and co-founder and Executive Chairman Donal Smith.
