CoolGames

CoolGames develops and publishes HTML5 casual games that are played from the cloud without a download. Its portfolio includes games based on licensed IPs such as Angry Birds, Tetris, Snake, Battleship and MONOPOLY.

The website says CoolGames works with game companies and entertainment brands to turn their IP into games, and distributes its games on social and messaging platforms, including Facebook Instant Games, Snapchat, LINE and Netflix. The site lists sections for players, publishers and advertisers. The revenue model is not described.

CoolGames has published games since 2009 and is headquartered in a canal house in central Amsterdam, with a Tokyo satellite office. Keesing Media Group acquired CoolGames in July 2023. The website states around 50 colleagues from more than 15 countries and more than 2 million daily active users. Two open roles, Senior QA Engineer and QA Lead, are listed in Amsterdam.
