About Conta

Conta AS develops Conta Regnskap, an accounting system for Norwegian sole proprietorships (ENK) and limited companies (AS). It combines quotes, invoicing, bookkeeping, VAT reporting, payroll and annual accounts in one system. Invoices can be sent as PDF, EHF or eFaktura, and a mobile app captures receipts. Bank integration supports automatic reconciliation, and the AI assistant Kaia suggests accounts for purchases.

Customers are Norwegian ENK and AS businesses that keep their own books, and accounting firms and auditors who can get access to a client's ledger without a per-user fee. Revenue comes from subscriptions: the Standard package costs 209 kroner per month and the Smart package 339 kroner per month, both excluding VAT and billed annually, with a 30-day free trial. The company also runs a partner programme for accounting firms and lists over 100 integrations.

Conta was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Ålesund, Norway, where more than 60 people work. The company describes itself as independent and Norwegian-developed, and states that 90 percent of its employees are co-owners.
