Comutitres manages fare and ticketing systems for public transport in the Île-de-France region, including the Navigo pass range. Its work covers pass subscription and validation systems, card supports, interoperability between transport operators, and the development and deployment of ticketing equipment on buses and trams.

It serves Île-de-France Mobilités, the regional transport authority, which it works for on revenue management, transport operators, and passengers who use the shared system. The company was created in 2000 as a groupement d'intérêt économique (GIE) by RATP, SNCF and Optile. Since 1 June 2023 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Île-de-France Mobilités.

Headquartered in Paris, the company reports 300 staff, of whom 150 are internal and 150 are partner contractors. It recruits for project management, systems engineering, architecture, customer relations, product management and purchasing.
