Clampon

ClampOn develops and manufactures non-intrusive ultrasonic sensor instruments for topside and subsea applications. The range includes sand and particle monitors, PIG detectors, corrosion and erosion monitors, vibration, leak and flow temperature monitors, and the BIRD wireless condition monitoring sensor. Services include sand management programmes, installation and commissioning, calibration and training.

Its customers are oil and gas operators; the company names Aker BP, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, TotalEnergies, Equinor and Shell as customers, and states that Shell selected it as principal supplier of sand monitoring systems. It sells instruments together with related services, and states that it has sold more than 25,000 sensors and that 85% of its sensors are exported.

ClampOn was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Laksevåg, Norway, where its production line is located. It also has a US subsidiary, ClampOn, Inc., with an office in Houston. The company states that it supplies customers in more than 70 countries. It recruits for project engineering, technical drawing and manufacturing roles through open applications.
