About Cinven
Cinven is an international private equity firm that invests in businesses with strong growth potential. It works with portfolio company management teams to pursue defined strategic goals, and its investments are organised across six sectors: Business Services, Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials and TMT.
Its investors include public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, family offices and endowments. The website states more than 150 investments, more than 40 current portfolio companies, over €50bn in total funds raised and €52bn in realised proceeds. Fund 8 closed at €13.2bn at the start of 2024.
The firm was founded in 1977 as part of the British Coal pension scheme and became independent in 1995. It has been partner-owned since then. Its offices are in Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, New York and Paris. One open role listed is a private equity internship in Frankfurt.
