About Chronicare Group

Chronicare Group a.s. operates a network of non-state healthcare facilities that provide post-intensive care (NIP) and long-term intensive nursing care (DIOP) in the Czech Republic. NIP takes stabilised patients who have left the ICU or anaesthesia-resuscitation ward and still depend on ventilation support, most often mechanical ventilation. DIOP serves spontaneously breathing patients with a tracheostomy. On some sites the company also runs home mechanical ventilation (DUPV).

Patients are referred from hospitals and are treated with a team of physicians, specialist nurses, physiotherapists and other specialists. The company states that all of its care is fully covered by health insurers, so patients and their families pay nothing for it. It has contracts with all health insurance companies across its network.

Chronicare Group was founded in 2007 and its registered seat is in Třinec. It operates four intensive care facilities in the Czech Republic, located in Milovice near Prague, Brno and Ostrava. The company states it has more than 15 years of experience in post-intensive care, and its careers page says it is currently recruiting.
