Checkly provides a monitoring-as-code platform where synthetic browser checks, API monitors, heartbeats and end-to-end tests are written in JavaScript/TypeScript, Terraform or Pulumi and deployed with the Checkly CLI. Monitors run from more than 20 global locations, and the site also lists status pages and alerting through Slack, email, SMS and webhooks.

The customers are developers and engineering and SRE teams monitoring APIs and user interfaces. The product is sold as tiered monthly subscriptions, from a free Hobby plan through Starter and Team plans to custom-priced Enterprise contracts.

Checkly states it was founded to help developers monitor critical APIs and UIs. The website lists Boston as headquarters, with offices in New York and Berlin, and says most of the team works remotely from 16+ countries. Investors named on the site include Accel, CRV, Mango Capital and Balderton. Open roles include a Senior Product Engineer, a Solutions Engineer (Post-Sales) and a talent community sign-up.
