About Char.Gy
char.gy provides and operates public electric vehicle charge points in the UK, installed on residential streets, in car parks and on lampposts. Its products include the Flow and Flow Duo on-street AC units for residential streets and the AC Ultra 22 charger for car parks and commercial sites. Drivers can start, stop and pay for a charge through the char.gy app.
Its customers are EV drivers without off-street parking, who pay per kWh under pay-as-you-go tariffs, and local authorities, for which it delivers large-scale charging infrastructure and helps councils use LEVI funding. The company reports more than 4,700 public chargers nationwide.
The company was registered in London in 2016 and installed its first charge point on a lamppost in Marlow. It is backed by Zouk Capital and has secured additional funding from the CIIF, with total investment of £100 million stated on its site. char.gy holds B Corp certification from 2024. It is currently hiring a Project Manager (DNO) based in London.
