About Chantier de L'arsenal

Chantier de l'Arsenal designs and builds custom composite catamarans, including DAY 1 maxi-catamarans and one-off projects, at its shipyard in La Rochelle. Its One Shape process, developed in 2015, builds composite ships without traditional moulds.

Customers commission individually built catamarans. The company runs a design office for naval architecture, engineering and project management, and works with the Yacht Concept design team on projects.

The company was founded in 2013. In spring 2023 it began building Atelier One Shape, a 4,000 m² shipyard on a 16,000 m² plot at La Pallice, near the commercial port of La Rochelle, designed for producing 8 to 10 giant multihulls a year. The team has 35 in-house staff.
