About Cattle Eye

CattleEye builds AI-based herd monitoring for dairy farms. A standard 2D camera mounted above the milking parlour exit records each cow as it passes, and the software identifies individual animals by body shape and coat pattern, scores mobility and body condition at every milking, and presents the results in a dashboard. The system connects to existing herd management software.

Its customers are dairy farms, reached directly and through distributors and dealers. A starter kit containing a camera and cable is sold online in the UK. The company also offers a lameness calculator and a demo request process on its site.

CattleEye was founded in Belfast in 2019. In March 2024 it was acquired by GEA, a dairy equipment manufacturer. The company reports that it is expanding across Europe and into the US and Latin America, and its team includes staff based in Belfast and US sales support. Its website lists open roles.
