About Catenda
Catenda builds an open common data environment (CDE) for the AECO industry, based on IFC and BCF and aligned with ISO 19650. Its products are Catenda Hub, a BIM-based CDE for models, documents, issues and workflows; Catenda Site, a mobile tool for site quality and QA captured against the model, including offline use; and Catenda Duo, for asset and facility data after handover. The platform exposes an MCP server and offers APIs and integrations.
Customers are general contractors, owners and developers in Europe and Japan. Pricing is one price per project, set by the project's construction value, with unlimited users and no per-seat fees.
Catenda was founded in 2009 in Oslo as a spin-off from SINTEF and was founded inside buildingSMART. It has six offices: Oslo, Paris, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Weesp (Amsterdam) and Karlsruhe. The website states more than 22,000 professionals using the platform and more than 3,500 projects running on it.
Product: Catenda Hub (BIM-based CDE), Catenda Site (mobile site quality and QA) and Catenda Duo (asset and facility data), priced per project.
