About Carthera
Carthera develops SonoCloud® implantable devices that use low-intensity pulsed ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier, supporting delivery of therapeutic agents to the brain. Its devices are being investigated for glioblastoma, brain metastases, Alzheimer’s disease and other brain disorders.
The clinical-stage medtech company is headquartered in Lyon and has a US subsidiary based in New York. Founded in 2010, it is a spin-off from AP-HP and Sorbonne University and holds ISO 13485 certification for medical-device design, development and manufacturing.
