CARE Kita-App is a GDPR-compliant management software for Kitas and Horte (German daycare and after-school centres). It covers organisation, parent communication, pedagogical documentation, digital portfolios, time tracking and a purchasing marketplace for daycare supplies.

Customers are daycare centres and their operators (Träger), leadership, staff, parents and youth-welfare office staff. Pricing is per facility, with a base monthly fee from 12.49 euros plus 0.34 euros per child per month in the Basis edition, and higher tiers (Standard, and a Träger edition for multi-facility organisations). The Eltern-App is free for parents. New facilities can test the service for four weeks.

The company is Carlo & Friends GmbH in Hamburg, which has developed the app since 2020 and took it over from NIVEA (Beiersdorf), where it began in 2018 as an internal childcare initiative. The website states over 1,500 facilities and more than 200,000 users, a 13-person team, and ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. Data is hosted in Germany.
