About campamerica.co.uk
Camp America is a summer camp staff placement programme run by American Institute for Foreign Study (UK) Ltd, which is part of AIFS. It places international participants in counsellor, activity specialist, camp support and leadership roles at hundreds of summer camps across the USA, and manages the application, visa, police check and placement process.
Its customers are young people from abroad who apply for 9 to 12 week summer positions at American camps; participants pay programme costs, with optional flight packages and post-camp travel in the USA. The camps are the employers the participants are placed with. Recruitment also takes place at job fairs in UK cities and in Melbourne.
The programme was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in London, with a London office in Kensington. The company states that it sends almost 8,000 participants to camp each year. It recruits for seasonal staff and head office roles, including Programme Assistant and student Brand Manager positions.
Product: Summer camp staff placement programme in the USA, including applications, visas, flight packages, job fairs and post-camp travel.
