About BSP Tex

BSP-TEX designs and manufactures hydraulic piling hammers, piling rigs, hydraulic power packs and rapid impact compactors (RIC) for foundation and ground improvement work. Its road maintenance division builds machinery under brands including Barters, Belspray, Bitmen, Bristowes, Springwood, Trojan and Wallis, such as asphalt mixers, emulsion sprayers, pre-coated chip spreaders and road marking equipment. The company also makes custom trailers, stainless steel enclosures and provides subcontracted manufacturing.

Customers include piling and ground improvement contractors, highway and road maintenance contractors, and global defence contractors for military trailers. Some road machinery is also available to hire. Subcontracted manufacturing serves UK and global customers.

BSP-TEX was founded in 1923 and is based at Claydon Business Park in Ipswich, with manufacturing sites at Claydon, Beccles (Suffolk) and New Alresford (Hampshire). It is part of the TEX GROUP, which has six UK manufacturing sites. Products are delivered worldwide and all are designed and manufactured in the UK.
