About Brookfield

Brookfield is an asset manager that invests long-term capital in real assets and operating businesses, including infrastructure, real estate, credit, private equity and energy. Its Wealth Solutions business operates insurance companies that offer retail and institutional annuities, pension risk transfer, property and casualty insurance and reinsurance. Oaktree is now part of its credit platform.

Brookfield traces its origins to a privately owned utility founded in 1899 in São Paulo, Brazil.
