About BrightCharger

BrightCharger Oy develops patent-protected charging control technology called BrightZero, which monitors charging and cuts power at the source once charging is effectively complete. The technology is sold as the BrightZero Smart Plug and offered for chargers, power banks, socket outlets and charging-control components.

Customers are component partners, OEMs, brands, distributors and retail partners. The company earns revenue through IP licensing, white-label partnerships, technology development and integration support, and through B2B orders of the Smart Plug. In 2026 it signed a licensing agreement with Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH to extend BrightZero to new components and products.

BrightCharger was founded in Finland in 2014 and is headquartered in Espoo. The company was founded by five entrepreneurs, and its CEO is co-founder Jani Rytkönen. The Smart Plug has launched in Finland, and charger applications are described as the next step.

Product: BrightZero Smart Plug, a plug with automatic source-side power cut-off after charging, plus BrightZero charging-control technology available for licensing.
