Bling

Bling offers a Mastercard-based debit card for children from age 7, paired with a parent-controlled app for spending limits, savings pots, chores and budgeting. Add-on products include Bling Mobile, a family mobile tariff sold via Deutsche Telekom, and Bling Skills, a financial-education game.

Customers are families with children and teenagers. Revenue comes from monthly subscriptions (Lite from 2.99 EUR, Plus from 4.99 EUR, Max from 8.25 EUR per month), with the company stating that standard use carries no further fees.

Per its website, Bling Services GmbH was founded in June 2021 by Nils Feigenwinter and Leon Stephan, launched the Bling Card in August 2022 and reports over 150,000 families and more than 1,000,000 app downloads. The company lists a 12 million USD Series A (July 2024) and investors including General Catalyst, PEAK and Owl Ventures. Open roles are in Berlin, with one remote position.
