Billit provides invoicing and e-invoicing software. Features include creating and sending invoices and quotes, scanning and digitising receipts and purchase invoices, tracking payments and sending reminders, and sending and receiving electronic invoices through a Peppol access point. The company states it has interfaces to more than 180 systems and to over 30 accounting software packages.

Its customers include freelancers and sole traders, small and medium-sized businesses, large companies, public bodies, accountants and bookkeepers, software and ERP vendors, and banks. Software vendors can connect their products to the Billit access point and offer e-invoicing to their own customers. The website offers a 15-day free trial and a published price page.

Billit was founded by Tom Van Gaever and Michael Demeersseman, who began developing the software in 2014; the first version was presented in 2016. The company has offices in Gent, Sint-Niklaas, Wavre, Hamburg and New York, reports more than 60 employees and says it is active in 37 countries. The website reports 314,107 active users, more than 7 million invoices per month and more than 87 million payment transactions. It states that the company has grown without outside investors.
