About Bergknapp
Bergknapp manufactures sedum mats, sedum cassettes and sedum cuttings in Sandnes and installs them on roof surfaces as green and blue-green roofs. Its range also includes ready-made lawn, green walls, flower meadows, turf roofs, roof gardens, insect hotels and maintenance agreements.
Customers are building projects that need green roofs. The company sells its products and installation work to these projects. It states that blue-green roofs, which hold back heavy rainfall, make up a growing share of the roofs it delivers.
The company was founded in 2010 and is based in Sandnes on Jæren, where it has produced sedum mats since 2009. It has produced ready-made lawn since 2001, according to its website. Bergknapp is certified as a Miljøfyrtårn business and reports about 50 employees. It is currently recruiting green roof installers in Eastern and Western Norway and a green roof maintenance technician in Eastern Norway.
