Bees & Bears

Bees & Bears operates a technology platform for installment purchase (Ratenkauf) financing of renewable energy installations such as photovoltaic systems. Installers create an installment offer in about three minutes, send it to the end customer as a PDF or through the system, and the customer enters their own data. The company states that it reviews each request within 24 hours.

The customers are installation companies (Fachbetriebe) and the homeowners who buy the systems. According to the website, the company pays the installer the first part of the installment sum directly after a successful conclusion, and the customer's payment starts only after the installation is accepted. The website does not describe the company's own revenue model.

The company is registered in Germany as Bees & Bears GmbH, with its address listed as Zimmerstraße 79–80, 10117 Berlin. The founder named on the about page is Jakob von Egidy. The website is in German and lists nine open positions, all in Berlin, including interns in sales, operations and venture development, a Head of Risk, an FP&A analyst and an operations manager.
