The Unabhängige Bundesbeauftragte gegen sexuellen Missbrauch von Kindern und Jugendlichen (UBSKM) is the federal commissioner for the fight against sexual abuse of children and young people in Germany. The office runs the central federal portal on sexual violence against children and young people, with information on prevention, support and help services, research, and downloadable materials.
Its audiences include people affected by sexual violence, their relatives, specialists, researchers, journalists and the general public. The office lists projects such as a dialogue process on standards of victim participation, an awareness campaign, an online training course and a help line for victims of sexual abuse. The Betroffenenrat, a council of affected people, advises the commissioner on her projects.
