BAST s.r.o. produces custom-order parts for rail vehicles and general mechanical engineering. Its rail products include welded and riveted frames and cabinets for brake systems, electrical equipment, air conditioning, batteries, fire protection, bogies and load-bearing parts. Listed processes include material cutting, bending, welding, machining, painting and metal surface treatment.

Customers are partners from the transport, engineering and industrial sectors in the EU and other markets, served on a made-to-order basis. The company also offers organisation and coordination of transport for its products, and makes its research and innovation capacity (a robotic weld-grinding workplace) available to external users at market prices.

BAST was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Moravské Budějovice, Vysočina Region, Czech Republic, with production premises of 24,000 m2 per its website.
