Bambusa

Bambusa sells socks and basic apparel made from bamboo viscose, including dress and ankle socks, boxer briefs, t-shirts and singlets. Its main offering is a fundraising model ("dugnad") in which a group sells the products and keeps 110 kr per package sold. Groups set up a campaign in the Bambusa app, participants receive invitations and personal webshops, buyers order online without downloading the app, and goods are delivered pre-packed per participant. The products are certified Made in Green by Oeko-Tex.

Customers are sports teams, school classes and other groups that run fundraisers, as well as consumers who buy the products online. The company's revenue comes from selling products to these groups, which order on invoice and resell them. The company states that it has sold over 30 million pairs of socks and carried out 10,000 fundraisers. Its underwear range is also sold online under the Bambusa Basics name.

Bambusa was founded in 2013 and has its headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. Its website is published in Norwegian.
