About Bagid
BagID makes BagID 2, an electronic bag tag attached to checked luggage. Travelers add a flight in the BagID app, create a digital bag tag and transfer it to the device via Bluetooth, then go straight to bag drop. The device is tracked through Apple Find My and Samsung SmartThings Find networks, and the company describes it as a certified third-party accessory for Apple and Samsung.
Its main customers are air travelers, who buy the product through the company's online shop with free worldwide shipping, and who can also buy accessories and a subscription. The company works with airlines whose systems it connects to in order to retrieve baggage information, and it states it is expanding its airline network. It also works with BAGTAG toward electronic bag tags becoming the industry standard.
BagID was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Ålesund, Norway.
Product: BagID 2, an electronic bag tag with a silicone case and TSA-approved lock, paired with the BagID app for digital bag tags and tracking.
