About backed.fi

Backed Finance develops xStocks, tokenized securities that track stocks and ETFs and are designed to be transferable and usable with DeFi protocols. The tokens are backed 1:1 by underlying assets held by licensed custodians and are redeemable for their cash value.

Its products connect real-world assets with blockchain markets. Backed launched xStocks with Kraken, Bybit and Solana in 2025 and supports multiple blockchain networks.

The company was founded in 2021 by Adam Levi, Roberto Klein and Yehonatan Goldman. It has investors from both DeFi and traditional finance and a team with experience in banking, finance, crypto and DeFi.
