Backbone (BKBN)

Backbone is a SaaS platform for real estate marketing. Users order professional property photography, video, virtual tours and floor plans, create listing materials with templates and AI editing tools, and order and store documents such as energy certificates. The platform offers a public API for integrations.

Customers are real estate professionals, from independent realtors and small businesses to large agencies. The company sells subscription plans (a free Starter plan, a Pro plan and a tailored Enterprise plan) and per-order capture services.

Backbone was founded in Germany's real estate services space and launched Backbone Photo in 2018. It acquired IMOGENT in 2024 for document services and energy certificates in Germany, and Volted.ai in late 2025, which led to the creation of its AI Lab. The website lists offices in Berlin, Prague and Geneva, more than 40 staff and a network of 500+ local visual specialists across Europe; open roles include freelance photography and videography positions and an Account Executive for Switzerland.
