About Axitare

Axitare makes an automatic medication dispenser for older people living at home. The device reminds the user by voice, returns a dose that is not taken and notifies a nurse. A web-based remote care system connects to the device, where nurses manage medicines and dosing. Some setups add video-supervised medication administration with a camera the nurse can turn and zoom.

Customers are home care service providers, which receive the devices on a rental basis. The offering includes the device, the remote care system and customer support available every day from 7:00 to 22:00. The company also describes its offering for wellbeing services counties (hyvinvointialueet).

Axitare was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Helsinki, where its device manufacturing and technical support are located. The company states that its dispensers are in use in more than 6,000 homes.
