About Automotive Smart Grid
Automotive Smart Grid (ASG) designs a real-time vehicle control architecture that combines its own real-time operating system, ECU hardware and communication protocol. Every electrical node in the vehicle commits to one shared state on a 1 ms tick.
ASG is an engineering and R&D company. It develops the architecture, the ASG protocol and control-module IP, and states that it does not run a factory. Its target customers are vehicle manufacturers and automotive suppliers; before incorporating in the UK, the team ran pilots and development engagements with a vehicle manufacturer, a Tier 1 supplier and a telecoms operator.
The company was incorporated in the UK in October 2024 and is headquartered in Manchester. Its team is based in London, Leicester and Manchester, with colleagues abroad. ASG is a member of the SMMT.
Product: ASG real-time operating system, ECU hardware and seven-layer communication protocol for the in-vehicle electrical architecture.
