About Athlos

Athlos develops and manufactures direct conversion X-ray imaging sensors based on CdTe-CMOS and Si-CMOS architectures, which convert X-ray photons directly into electrical pulses without a scintillator. Its products include the DC-Air wireless intraoral sensor, the Ultra-Fast Scanning Sensor and the Industrial IP67 TDI detector, and it also offers detector contract manufacturing and software such as a TWAIN module, reconstruction libraries and an SDK.

Customers are dental, medical and industrial imaging OEMs and system integrators. Sensors are sold through distribution partners in 38 markets, and the company also provides manufacturing services and licenses its software separately or as part of an Athlos system.

Founded in 2016, Athlos is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Sensors are manufactured in-house and at the VTT Micronova cleanroom facility in Espoo. The company holds ISO 13485:2016 certification and reports 510(k) FDA clearance.
