About assura.ch
Assura is a Swiss health insurance company. It offers mandatory basic health insurance (Grundversicherung) and supplementary insurance (Zusatzversicherungen), including hospital and dental cover. Its basic models PharMed, QualiMed and MediTel differ in the first medical contact (family doctor or telemedicine), the choice of specialists and the choice of pharmacy.
Customers are individuals and families living in Switzerland, including people who are new to the country. Customers pay insurance premiums. Assura offers a 20% discount on supplementary insurance for minor children when at least two members of the same family are insured with Assura. Customers can submit receipts, track claims and manage their contracts through a customer portal and the Assura app. Where doctors, pharmacies and laboratories accept tiers payant billing, Assura pays their invoices directly.
Assura publishes premium information for 2027 and a customer magazine, Essentia. Its careers pages list openings for sales teams and an HR administration role based in Pully.
